My earliest memory of Marist is... The first time I came to campus was on the last day of Welcome Week. I got the chance to walk through the Activities Fair and it was exciting to see the amount of people that attended and how engaged students seemed to be in campus life. In the background of everyone gathered on the campus green, it was a great view of the Hudson River so I had to pause and take in the entire scenery - it was pretty cool!
One of my favorite movies is... Home Alone 2 - around the holiday season this is definitely my go to.
When I think of heroes I think of... Carter G. Woodson - he devoted his life to preserving African-American history and highlighted on the many accomplishments that Blacks had in the United States which adopted in to what we now know as Black History Month.
My friends would describe me as... easy going, motivated, and humorous.
If I could travel anywhere... Barcelona! I've heard that the city is amazing - the food, the people, and there is always something to do. I must experience it for myself.
My biggest mentor(s) growing up were… my immediate family. Whether my parents or siblings, they always set the example for me and helped me understand what I needed to do in order to be successful. I appreciate them the most for not holding my hand, but pointing me in the right direction of my journey.
One of the best things about college is… having the opportunity to try out new things and be introduced to different people and their cultures. These help you grow and become well-rounded.
When not busy with things at Marist, I like to… watch Knicks games, work out, and go on trips with friends.
My message to the students of Marist is… be yourself, make your own path, and have no regrets!
