Residential move-in

Phased move-in to residence halls will occur between February 15 and March 1.  Students will receive specific assigned dates for move-in from the Office of Housing and Residential Life by January 15.  Students coming from non-contiguous states and abroad will be subject to further testing requirements and additional quarantine protocols per New York State guidelines.

Quarantine Housing Agreement: Students who request to complete their quarantine at Marist, must review and complete the housing agreement from the Office of Housing and Residential Life here: ilearn.marist.edu/portal/site/housing.

Quarantine Attestation: Students who opt to complete their quarantine in a location other than Marist will be required to attest at the time of move-in. You can access the quarantine attestation form on iLearn.

Residence hall occupancy and access

Students residing in campus housing are permitted to visit with one another, including students from different residence facilities, provided that gathering size limits are followed and masks are worn. Off-campus guests, including commuter students, are still not permitted within any campus residence facility. Click here to view all of the visitation policies in the COVID-19 Code of Student Conduct Addendum. Students may continue to gather with students from other residence halls outdoors or in the dining hall.

Building access for residential halls will be restricted to students who reside on campus. Off-campus guests, including commuter students, will not be permitted within campus residence facilities

Social gatherings in residence facilities are permitted as outlined below. Physical distancing requires limits on the size of gatherings to support safety.  Masks must be worn whenever visitors are present within your residence. For building common lounges, each lounge will be posted with a maximum occupancy granted that students are masked and at least six feet apart.

CARES Act

We understand this is an added expense for students and families brought on by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and you may be eligible for a grant in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines through the CARES Act for students who meet the eligibility criteria.

The cost to quarantine in Marist Housing is $100 per week, with an additional daily dining charge of $21 for students quarantining in Conklin Hall. Consistent with the Fall semester, Marist has made CARES Act funding available to assist eligible students with quarantine expenses. If you have questions about the CARES Act, please contact the Office of Student Financial Services at studentfinancialservices@marist.edu, or (845) 575-3230.
